SA War Museum -- Peter Joffe

Dear Fellow flyers.

Further to the workshop that we had a few weeks back, I undertook to see if the SA War Museum would be interested in hosting a display of the history of Aero Modelling in SA.

They have now come back to me and expressed an interest in taking it further. They need to know how much space will be needed, what type of space (cabinets etc) and what they can do for us and of course what we can do for them.

I am in the dark on this but feel that we have a large amount of scale stuff that perhaps would be better displayed in the War Museum than hanging in someone's garage/workshop. Old engines, jets, models etc etc. We have the stuff but I do not know where it is or what it is but think that Bob Skinner has his finger on this pulse.

So what have you and where do we go from here? Please get back to me, Joe Coetzer and Bob with all your ideas so that we can make a good presentation to the Museum and promote SAMAA at the same time.

The Deputy Director of the Museum is Mss Sandy Mackenzie at Tel 011 646-5513 and fax 011 646 5256.

Have a great Easter weekend and please remember what the weekend is all about!
