2009 North West Aerobatic Champs -- Scott Crescent
The planning for the North West Championships started early January with work parties and flight line planning. However when the final week approached and the heaven’s were unleashing the most rain we have ever had to date in one month, the phone calls and sms’s started (the farmers are complaining that the barbers were eating the mielie’s) was one that I can recall, but as true pattern fliers, Nico and myself were putting up flight poles on Thursday with our “gum boots” wading through water, mud and rain... African Pilot photo competition
African Pilot in conjunction with jets-r-us is busy furthering the interests of model aviation by publishing articles related to this great hobby of ours.
I had a meeting this afternoon with Athol Frans finalizing the photo completion that ran for modelers in the African Pilot magazine. There were a total of 62 e-mails received with over 200 photographs of models competing for an African Pilot cover page photograph. The winner will be announced in the March issue of African Pilot.
